Don't you love that I draw birds which I don't know the names of?! Well, this mysterious birdy was too cute to pass up. I thought maybe it was a sparrow or finch, but after looking those up I realized they look nothing like this guy. I suppose it doesn't matter!

10.24.10 Sunday - Letter H
Adobe Illustrator is my favorite Adobe software. I love vector art. I love paths, points, curves, strokes, fills, patterns, symbols... yatta yatta yatta. I just can't get enough of it. Free vector art is like a free Starbucks to me. (Weird, I know) I hope to offer free vector art for people to download here and there. Unfortunately, if you don't have Illustrator, this won't be any good for you. However, I will also offer high resolution .jpg files for those who like to work with flat images.
Here is my first attempt at mimicking Jessica Hische's Daily Drop Cap. Of course, I am going to start with the letter "H." I first sketched out something I was thinking. Then I scanned it in and digitally drew over it in Illustrator. I obviously made changes throughout the process. This may become a stationary card cover for me in the future.
